Family is the most exciting project in life for Julie Carol and Veit, the creators of Macarons. “Love is what holds it all together”, they say and this is probably why love is reflected in the clothing they develop : beautiful, soft, comfortable, made out natural materials, organic pure new Merino wool and organic pure long-staple cotton.
Kids are explorers, so Macarons makes sure to put them in clothing that is not too tight, too long, too heavy. They create pieces that allow freedom of movement to just be kids with modern design and special attention to detail.
All macarons items are individually developed and produced – from the yarn to the finished pieces – and are therefore unique and special. The company works together with small regional manufacturers. Sustainable manufacturing methods, real quality and the support of the best regional craftwork is very important for Julie Carol and Viet.
A family trip to California inspired the S/S16 collection that will be on exclusively display at the next Playtime Paris (Stand M16). It is all about the easiness of summer with refreshing colors in different hues. All the colors that surrounded them during their journey, like ocean blue in combination with a strong Pumila pink or soft apricot and mint shades with a splash of lime yellow just like the lemon in Californian ice tea.
Macarons is becoming a real lifestyle brand with three collections : baby, kids and adults. Lots of lightweight fabrics, that feel soft and breezy but that at the same time protect delicate skin from strong sunshine and guarantee that it can breathe.
Visiting Macarons is always like taking a shot of vitamins : bold colour mixes, creative fabrics, innovative cuts, all this refreshes the mind. A chat with Julie and Veit is the additional splash of energy; their enthusiasm and love for what they do is totally infectious. Highly recommended!
