In French we call doing nothing “lezarder”. But it’s doing nothing in the summer when it’s hot, like a lezard under the sun, enjoying being still. Aimez-vous lezarder? I recently watched an interview of fashion designers about their holidays. Karl Lagerfeld declared loathing them, Ines de La Fressange confessed they are sacred for her, she always takes a whole month off in the summer. This is very french/Mediterranean.

Lezarding by the pool, a decor magazine in hands, I admire this Portuguese house. Modern but so warm, blending with nature. “A l’abri des dunes” Marie-Claire Maison. By Christele Ageorges, Photos Romain Ricard
