Instead of starting walking, Spike started running. His first steps were done running. Since then Spike loves running, and he runs fast! Mother of our young future marathon-man, Danièle McClellan is the co-founder of Swiss brand l’asticot.
Spike
What do you want to be when you grow up Policeman-Ambulance Driver -Fireman
Someone you admire? My best friend Jeremy
What is your big dream? I’d like to be a Ninjago
Are you scared of anything? I am scared of dark and scared of brown bears
What makes you laugh My best friend Jeremy, but also my little brother Jasper. He is so super funny.
Your favourite films and books My favourite cartoon is Jack et les pirates du pays imaginaire. And my favourite book is about volcanos.
Something you did recently that you really loved I recently learned how to ride a bike and I loved it!
The best holidays you ever had At the beach, with my friend Neo
A place that you would dream to visit Disneyland Paris
Your favorite belonging My Ninjagos
The next item you would so dearly love to get A good bike
If you had a magic wand, what would you do with it right now? I would make the whole new Ninjagos collection appear
Daniele
A place you saw when you were a child, and that made its mark on you A rock peak about hundred meters high next to the Gorges de la Borgne, the river that was passing in the village where I grew up. The path to access is very steep and you can either climb or walk. Since I was little I was fascinated by the striking beauty of the place. I was going there as a child, to play by the river, then to do rock climbing and later when I was in need of silence and peace. The view from the top is stunning.
The place you love near your home I live in the countryside, so there is not much around us. But there is a cool design store near Geneva, in the middle of an industrial area, called Casa Design. A part from that nothing really; we have to drive to Geneva…
Where do you dream to go for your next family holiday My children are still quite young for real adventure, so I wouldn’t be against holidays on a paradise island.… But my dream is to go horse riding in Iceland, Kazakhstan or in Jordan.
A film that you saw recently and that staid with you? The Artist
The film that you love to see with the whole family? I like very much watching episode of the old TV serie Belle & Sébastien with my kids (the story of a child and a Saint Bernard in the Swiss Alps).
The book on your bedside table I have a preference for magazines
The children’s brands your cherish L’asticot, of course! Genrally speaking I like Nordic brands like for instance 4FunkyFlavours but i had a recent crush on Kidscase, Fub and NicoNico.
The children’s stores you love to visit and buy from In Geneva Poisson Rouge and Because I Love, a wonderful store that sells mostly adults clothes. Le Chien Bleu, a book store that also has a selection of decor objects for kids. And the e-store www.boutikids.ch.
Last thing you bought for your Spike Adidas “Gazelle” sneakers green and yellow
Favourite pieces in Spike’s wardrobe Long sleeve t-shirt by Adidas and old Sonja Rykiel wool pants that my boys never accepted to wear but that I can’t get rid of. If you ask Spike, he’ll tell you his favourite piece is his L’asticot pants.
What do you buy online? We buy a lot online because we live in a quite remote area. In general I look for things I like in magazines before going online. I highly recommend www.boutikids.ch also because they carry the whole L’asticot collections.
A website that inspires you www.filedanstachambre.com
Something that made you laugh out loudly recently? I recently broke my ribs and spent 2 days at the hospital. When my two year old son saw me in the horrible hospital gown he screamed ” oh mummy, you are a princess!”.
