Anais is a typical 6 year old girl who dreams to be a princess, plays piano, loves being in the pictures, loves playing with her friends. One of her favorite activity is hip hop dance and she also enjoys helping her mother Jane with kid clothing design. “It is my passion and dream to design children’s clothes. I design for my children” says Jane D’Haene, designer and owner of children’s clothing Anais & I

What do you want to be when you grow up A scientist
Someone you admire Mama & daddy because they are very helpful to me. And my brothers because they play with me.
Your big dream My big dream is to be a princess and have a pet unicorn
Scared of… Being alone. Because there’s no one to look and take care of me if I have an accident
A joke you love “Will you remember me tomorrow?”- “Yes!” – ” Will you remember me in a week?” – “ Yes!” – “Will you remember me in a year?” – “Yes!” – “Knock! Knock!” – “Who’s there?” – “ I thought you would remember me!”
Your favourite films and books My favorite films are Mulan and Peter Pan and my favorite book is Peter Pan
Something you did recently that you really loved A date with daddy at the Central park. We did horse carriage and row boat just like a grown up date.
The best holidays you ever had A trip to Paris a year ago and I love it because it was only with daddy and mama. The best part was going to the top of the Eiffel tower.
Your favourite belonging My pet fish ( goldie and rosie)
The next item you would so dearly love to get A cat!!!!
If you had a magic wand, what would you do with it right now? I would make myself to a princess
Jane
A place you saw when you were a child, and that made its mark on you Manhattan!!. I moved here when I was young. My parents wanted to start a new life here in New York so I didn’t have a choice. Arriving from Korea to New York was the most dramatic experience for me. Only thing I knew how to say was “Hi”. Never learned proper English. That was so long ago but I will never forget how the city looked the first day I arrived. I thought it was so grey. I was so sad. I think I cried day and night for a week. I came up, dreamed of all the scenarios to go back to Korea. But I love New York City now.
The place you love near your home I really like the Westside high way near my home. It’s really nice to walk, run and bike.
Where do you dream to go for your next family holiday I would love to see safari in South Africa with my children and my husband. I think I will enjoy watching their faces.
A film that you saw recently and that stayed with you The Intouchables. I thought it was so beautiful.
The book on your bedside table I think pretty much everyone read the Fifty shades of Grey J Right now I’m reading The power of Habit.
The children’s brands your cherish This is the most difficult question. I really like Finger in the nose, Makie, Bonton, Bon Point. I think they know what they are doing.
The children’s stores you love to visit and buy from I don’t really buy much for Anais since she only wants to wear Anais & I. For my older son who is 12 years old I typically buy from Zara kids, Gap, H & M and Crewcut. For my 3 year old, It’s mostly Anais & I with Crewcut, Zara kids. I like visiting the Sweetwilliam, Yoya ABC carpet & home and Kisan concept store.
Last thing you bought for your child For Anais, I bought a Belgian waffles from Waffles and Dinges.
Favourite pieces in your child’s wardrobe For a very sentimental reason, I still have a dress I made for her when I first started sewing. That is the reason why Anais & I exist. I keep it in there to remember why I started what I do. For Anais, she love her fuzzy dress from Anais & I
What you buy online I’m a big Freshdirect fan. It’s an online supermarket. I don’t like going to the super market because I always come back with so many things I don’t need and I tend to spend too much time in there. I do all my grocery shopping through Freshdirect. I don’t buy many clothes online because I like to feel and touch.
A website that inspires you Facebook. No matter what people say I think facebook is a genius idea.
Something that made you laugh out loudly recently My husband recently gave me a most amazing birthday party. I was able to invite all my friends. Friends from the past, friends from children’s school….I had people from 19 year old to 65 year old. It was total of 88 people. A room filled with all my friends who loves me, who I adore, who inspires me was pretty amazing. And to top it all my husband had many surprise events through the entire evening. I couldn’t stop laughing all night.
