Tyler Max
What is your big dream? To become a super hero
Do you have special powers? I can build any kind of LEGO, no matter how many pieces.
Who is the strongest person in the world? Rocky Balboa
What do you want to be when you grow up? A professional soccer (football) player
Who do you admire? Pele
If you would be an artist who would you like to be? Simon Cowell
What is the best thing in life? Having my mom
Are you scared of anything? I am scared of arachnids, because they freak me out with all their eyes.
What makes you laugh? TV show – My gym partner is a Monkey. A joke: How do you have a party in space? You plan it (planet).
Your favourite films, books, apps? Star Wars, Captain Underpants, Jetpack Joy Ride
Something you did recently that you really loved ? I love going to the pool, because they have a diving board and water slides and you can go around and explore different areas.
The best holidays you ever had ? A Christmas party when I was 6 yrs old. It was a Christmas Eve, and the grownups were having jello shots and kids were doing ghost hunting upstairs because spirits live in this house.
A city/place that you would dream to visit ? Paris, because it’s very nice and romantic city. I would love to listen to accordion music when I eat.
Your favorite belonging ? My LEGO sets
The next item you would so dearly love to get? Kitten
If you had a magic wand, what would you do with it right now? I would make my family have trillions of dollars.
Anything else you would like to tell? We live very close to the woods and every night a pack of deer comes out and we love watching them.
Julia
A place you saw when you were a child, and that made its mark on you? My dream under old fashioned general anesthesia when I was 6 years old. It was so colorful, vivid and powerful, it was engraved in my memory: pink and blue elephants flying on the shimmering golden air balloons, fabric pattern ready!
The place you love near your home ? Port Discovery Children’s Museum in Baltimore is great to drain kids’ energy and Panera Bread for yummy chicken noodle and tomato cream soups with grilled cheese sandwiches.
Where do you dream to go for your next family holiday ? Galápagos Islands: iguanas, green turtles and penguins are for my son and the white sand beaches and turquoise sea for me!
A film or cultural event that you saw recently and that staid with you ? Cloud Atlas, I read the book first and had to see the movie, which surprisingly didn’t disappoint.
The film that you love to see with the whole family? Once Upon a Time TV series. The show takes place in the fictional seaside town of Storybrooke, Maine, in which its residents are actually characters from various fairy tales that were transported to the “real world” town and robbed of their real memories by a powerful curse. Endlessly captivating! Red Hood is a werewolf, mind you!
The book on your bedside table ? The Great Gatsby (I had to re-read it, yes, the movie made me)
The children’s brands your cherish ? This is the most difficult question, as I can go on forever and the list is going to be a mile long: Molo, Mini & Maximus, Stella Cove, Mini Shatsu, Soft Gallery, Aven Clothing, Zara, H&M, MAA Shoes, Shampoodle, Fore! Axel & Hudson, Tom & Drew, Chinche, Indikidual, Gro, Retour Denim De Luxe, Morley, Mini Rodini, Chat Mechant, Wild, Anna Kuris, Scotch Shrunk, Bobo Choses and I am just getting started!
Last thing you bought for Tyler Max? Venettini Cafe Denim loafers
Favourite pieces in Tyler Max’ wardrobe ? Retour Denim De Luxe jeans, Dr. Martens patent boots, Molo tees
What do you buy online? I buy practically everything online. I am an online shopping omnivore: from Amazon and E-Bay to Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom with small independent stores, like Cool Kids NYC in between.
The online destinations that inspire you? Refinery 29, If It’s Hip, It’s Here, Trend Hunter, The Business of Fashion
The product that changed your life ? iPhone
What are your main current concerns ? I am blessed in so many ways, the rest will follow.
Do you have a big dream and if so what is it? I want to launch my kids’ footwear line and expand it into a fabulous empire of kids’ clothes and accessories.
Something that made you laugh out loudly recently? My son’s witty response to my incessant babbling about genius perfection of a human body caused by cutting my thumb, and how grateful I was for having all parts in place and order. He said he was extremely grateful for having his two index fingers that he could stick in his ears so he didn’t have to listen to this crap about how grateful I was.
Anything you want to tell? I am addicted to Dove chocolate
If you could reincarnate in another person, who would that be? Kelly Wearstler, impossibly fabulous and endlessly talented interior and fashion designer, or Prince George.
