“Mateo is always singing, dancing and chatting! He is really funny, and being just 3 years old, some of the questions had funny answers” says Alejandra about her son. This makes me happy as I always like funny answers! An Architect and a Designer, Alejandra is also the founder of www.severinakids.com.
Mateo
What do you want to be when you grow up I want to be a CAT…
Someone you admire? Agustina and Lisa, my cousins
What is your big dream? Learn Kung Fu!
Are you scared of anything? If so tell me what and why I’m afraid of the darkness, because in my room by night my toys are looking at me
Your favourite films and books My favorite film is Kung Fu Panda and the book I like the most is Mon Cirque by Xavier Deneux
Something you did recently that you really loved I loved the birthday party of my friend Julieta when we all danced and played in the swimming pool together
The best holidays you ever had My holidays in London where I can play with my friend Pedro and all his cars
A place that you would dream to visit I want to go to a huge huge mountain
Your favorite outfit or the piece you like the most from your wardrobe A blue T-shirt with a guitar that says “Rock & Roll”
The next item you would so dearly love to get A big boat or a submarine!!
If you had a magic wand, what would you do with it right now? I don’t like the magic wands…
Alejandra
A place you saw when you were a child, and that stayed with you There was an old cinema called “Gran Rivadavia” in my neighborhood in Buenos Aires. They used to show two movies (always old ones…) for the price of one. I used to go with my siblings and spend the whole afternoon there! Any movie would do it for us!! Also the intermission was a delightful moment to enjoy chocolate and sweets. I can still remember the hall entrance and the smell inside…
Where do you dream to go for your next family holiday We went to London for the last five summers because our best friends live there. We spend a lot of time together, my husband cooks dinner for everybody and we talk and talk late in the night sharing a glass of wine (or two)…Now that we have kids, they became friends, having a lot of fun playing together and sharing picnics in the park. Although is not a “summer” ideal place to go, I hope to go there every summer in the future!!!
A film that you saw recently and that staid with you? Pina Bausch by Wim Wenders.
The film that you love to see with the whole family? Billy Elliot!! We saw it a thousand times and still we moved by the film.
The book on your bedside table Now I’m reading a funny book: “La Piel dura” (The hard skin) written by an Argentinean writer called Fernanda García Lago.
The children’s brands your cherish I’m not a classic woman, so Mateo is not a classic boy… (I’ll keep you posted for the time when he starts to make his own choices…). Like for myself, I buy his jeans in Zara because they fit perfectly on him. Then I love to combine with Bobo Choses, Imps& Elfs, ohh I love the Bonton sweaters too! He also has two pairs of Cheap Monday’s jeans that look great on him! For pyjamas and underwear I’m really loyal to Petit Bateau and Green Baby. He is a “Sneaker Boy” so I buy for him Converse and Vans, but he also loves his pair of brown Crocs that he calls his “Suecos”.
The children’s stores you love to visit and buy from We have moved to Buenos Aires four months ago, here you can find great designers. The last ten years we have been living in Madrid and every year in December we usually went to Buenos Aires to spend Christmas with our family, so I used to visit and buy in stores like Little Akiabara or Paula Cahen D’Anvers. In Madrid I loved to go to Bonpoint , in London I would be happy to have a look to every item in Caramel baby and child!!
What do you buy online? I usually buy toys for Mateo, books for me and sneakers for my husband in Amazon.uk. Actually in Buenos Aires I’m buying the vegetables and fruits in an organic cooperative www.iriarteverde.com.ar ; I print postcards and stickers in Moo Print and buy presents in BijzonderMooi. My favorites e-stores are Little Fashion Gallery for Mateo, Stand Up Comedy www.shopstandingup.us for me and BijzonderMooi www.bijzondermooi.com for presents and home stuff.
A website that inspires you I enjoy a lot checking Kickcan&Conkers, Deborah Beau’s blog every week. Also I love www.evangelione.com, www.thecoolhunter.net , www.thesartorialist.com, www.lacasita-alessandrataccia.blogspot.com or www.camillaengman.blogspot.com
Lastest item you added to your child’s wardrobe Last summer before moving to Buenos Aires we took the opportunity to travel and shopping. I bought Mateo a navy blue Montgomery exactly as one that my husband has! I felt in love with a brown asymmetric T-shirt in Old Saints so I bought it in two sizes 2 and 4!!
Favourite pieces in your child’s wardrobe My fav pieces in Mateo’s wardrobe are a Bonton sweater in a mink color, a pair of black Cheap Mondays’ skinny jeans, a gray and pale pink shirt from Paula Cahen Danver’s and his classic brown Crocks of course!
