For Spring Summer 2016, Caramel baby&child takes a nostalgic wander through the archives for the latest collection. Referencing a 70s spirit of bohemia, the brand explores three strands from the decade that style has clearly not forgotten: fragile lilac and orchid prints, carob brown and chambray denim, and delicate embroidery details.
By day, girls wear oversized printed dresses, full skirts and blouson tops trimmed with fragile crochet lace. Meanwhile, babies stay cool in multi-coloured print dresses. For chilly summer evenings, pair soft-to-the-touch jersey knits with poplin trousers.
Boys shirts are smart in window pane check in Italian cotton or our Japanese blue grid print paired with our classic skinny jeans in castlerock, muted grey or pumpkin spice. For a more relaxed silhouette team soft linen jersey with cotton dungarees.
Prints are at the heart of the collection, inspired by traditional block printing techniques and Caramel’s own archive. Discover a unique assortment in a woodblock pattern popping with colour, ditsy florals, geometric square stamps and a vintage dotty pattern which appear on dresses and swimwear, alongside the traditional Liberty print for babies.
This season’s retro inspired swimwear is printed in our exclusive dotty print featuring ruffle details; for boys there is a seersucker check to while away summer days. For more formal occasions, there is the Calamint party dress for baby as well as little girls or team soft silk cotton with colourful tutus in algae and lemon.
