Brands you should know: Bootstock
January’s wholesale tradeshow season was fantastic for discovering relatively young brands. Due to the pandemic many have not been able to show their collection in person. I was so encouraged by the up and coming talent and their creativity. It gave me a buzz and refuelled my enthusiasm about the industry that may have been taken a bit of a beating over the past few covid infused years.
So let’s shout about some new discoveries, starting with Bootstock. I’m positive that their Strawberry cowboy boot will be an absolute hit when released. They had a very busy stand at Playtime, Paris with the dapper founder backing up the stylish aura emanating from this brand. Paade Mode have paired the boots with their key campaign look for FW23. This is a brand to look out for for 2023!
Bootstock
Bootstock is a Dutch shoe brand, specialised in making the best quality cowboy boots.
It originated in 2020 when founder Mariska was looking for the perfect cowboy boots for her daughter. It was a difficult search. It inspired her to start designing children’s boots herself and ended up at a factory that perfectly met her requirements. Handmade cowboy boots of a perfect quality. The factory attaches great importance to quality, sustainability, people and the environment, working with a no-waste technology, for example.
The result is a beautiful new Dutch brand of cowboy boots for women, toddlers and young girls. Each model has its own unique design and is styled to perfection. The boots have a bohemian, tough western look with a vintage touch.
The label has strict quality standards for their Bootstock boots. Only the best craftsmen work on the production. All leather is expertly processed in their own tannery. Furthermore, the boots are handmade from 100% cowhide leather and feature beautiful hand-finished stitching.
