A place you saw when you were a child, and that made its mark on you? I grew up in The Lake District so I was very lucky to be surrounded by beautiful open spaces and dramatic landscapes for most of my childhood

The place you love near your home Any beach in Nortumberland, North East England, even when the weather is good, you can find beaches which are quiet.

Where do you dream to go for your next family holiday Brantome in the Dordogne valley. When our children are old enough to swim we shall return.
