Vincent is everything NYC! He loves to dance, ride his scooter outside, swim, ride the big boy bus to school, and sneak as many slices of pizza, cupcakes, and cookies as he possibly can in any given day. He enjoys every second of his new role as a big brother, and can’t stand shoes that he can’t put on himself (ahem, laces!!), mommy combing through his curly hair at the end of each bath. Eyana, his mother, has worn multiple hats in the corporate industry — working in management consulting, investment banking, and the beauty industry until she assumed her role of motherhood. She now owns STORK, a children’s retail boutique in Brooklyn.

What do you want to be when you grow up A musician
Someone you admire The conductor on the train I take home from school!
What is your big dream To drive the family car!
Are you scared of anything No, I’m a big boy!
Your favourite films and books The movie “Cars” and “Open Season”. I love to read “Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site” before I go to bed.
Something you did recently that you really loved We made s’mores at a campfire in the Poconos, and at first I didn’t want to try it. But, so was so happy when I did! I loved every morsel!
The best holidays you ever had It was last year when I got a Lightning McQueen powered car and a train track!!! I had so much fun playing with my new toys!! I got to drive for the first time!
A place that you would dream to visit I want to go to Disneyland someday.
Your favorite outfit or the piece you like the most from your wardrobe My green VANS that I can put on all by myself.
The next item you would so dearly love to get A big boy bike.
If you had a magic wand, what would you do with it right now? I would fly.
Eyana
A place you saw when you were a child, and that made its mark on you I visited Europe with a children’s orchestra tour when I was 10. The trip was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I felt so privileged and lucky to have had the opportunity to go. It opened my eyes to things I now realize how fortunate I was to see at such a young age.
The place you love near your home The Poconos. A (short) three-hour ride from Brooklyn, its such an amazing and beautiful contrast to the daily city life. We migrate to a bed-and-breakfast, hike, swim, and toast marshmallows!
Where do you dream to go for your next family holiday Would love to go back to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Such a beautiful place.
A film that you saw recently and that stayed with you The King’s Speech. Without knowing much of the movie plot, I had no idea what the movie was about, other that gleaning what I could from its title. It has really changed me, as my son was recently diagnosed with a speech delay. Its sensitivity to the issue really touched me.
The film that you love to see with the whole family “Finding Nemo”. I think the new one comes out next week. Is this the third one??
The book on your bedside table Um .. Fifty Shades of Grey. Did I just say that out loud? (smile)
The children’s brands your cherish Atsuyo & Akiko, Babylady, and Lucky Fish are local staples that I can’t live without. NUNUNU and Mini & Maximus are just totally awesome — trendy and just the right touch of children’s funk. Goat Milk for sleepwear, Lucky Wang makes the cutest kimono separates, and Go Gently Baby makes amazing dresses. VANS shoes are a must in our household, as are Saltwater Sandals in the summer, Aigle Boots for the rainy days, Polkadot What! — the most amazing brand of leggings, and last but not least the Stella McCartney x Gap collaboration. Just amazing!!
The children’s stores you love to visit and buy from In Brooklyn, NY – its a must to shop at STORK, NYC – Barneys, Saks, and Giggle. LA – Love Fred Segel. That’s pretty much the extent of my travel these days. :-)
Things you buy online I’ve started doing the Amazon Subscribe and Save for back-to-school snack essentials. My kids love the Barbara’s Bakery line, and all household items are on a monthly delivery schedule. Simplifies my life in ways I can’t describe — at a discount! :-)
A website that inspires you www.stork-baby.com (!!)
Last item you added to Vincent’s wardrobe A Skip Hop Dog Bookbag and matching Lunchie for my son’s first day of school!
Favorite pieces in your child’s wardrobe Everything that came from their mommy’s clothing store. :-)
