The advent calendar is up ready and waiting, Christmas is coming. With Winter starting officially tomorrow the days are colder and the nights longer… it’s time to stay cozy but cozy doesn’t mean throwing on anything to keep the chill away, it can also be chic according to Grace Baby&Child who recently launched a capsule collection specifically tailored for the holiday season.
Comfort is of the upmost importance to this Portuguese label, choosing to use flannel and wool textiles for the designs. There is a rich timeless aesthetic to the collection with cherry plaid and delicate pink patterns. It is a subtle but effective mix between classical and contemporary design. For girls there are dresses and rompers, for boys short dungarees and shirts. Look for their knits, very sweet bonnets and beautiful socks.
Grace Baby&Child was founded in 2013 by Ana Peixoto Almeida, mother of two girls, entrepreneur and communication specialist, who decided to embrace change and continue to write the history of her own family in the portuguese textile industry. Motherhood inspired the business idea and the five months of her first daughter’s maternity leave were long enough to start the project.
The brand is a result of mother and daughter quality time, experienced in those months while working at home designing the first Grace Baby&Child collection. Deeply in love with vintage and classic details, fashionable items brought from the past, Grace is tradition with a cosmopolitan touch, modernity without extravagance, care, perfection and above all, love for our children.
All of our garments are designed in Portugal and manufactured in small quantities by carefully selected partners located no more than 70 kilometers away. With quality fabrics – cotton, jersey and linen for summer, flannel, corduroy and cozy knits for winter – Grace Baby&Child clothes are characterized by a romantic simplicity, functionality and an extraordinary attention to detail.
Today Grace is a wonderful small team, a very personal company built by five young women who work every day driven by intuition, creativity and passion. Our aim is to create the finest childrenswear and homewear designed for our little ones’ comfort and style. Thank you for embracing our adventure and believing in us. We do hope you enjoy our work.
