Very special and quirky, the hats and sweaters by Happyeti are handcrafted in a traditional way by Nepalese artisans in the heart of the Himalayas.  The brand was launched in 2011, with he aim to offer products with a spirit of adventure, mixing animals and characters from different cultures and civilizations.
.
The combination of fun products, high quality and ethical production has proven to work well as Happyeti is fast developing and present in a great selection of children’s stores worldwide (including Pomme d’Api in Paris, The Cross Two and Daylesford in London, Takashimaya in Tokyo, BabyBoom in Porto, etc).
.
Their privileged partnership with Nepalese artisans is based on dialogue, transparency and mutual respect. That contributes to the development of an economy more respectful of individuals and a better equity in international trade.
.

Next winter’s collection will use an organic cotton velvet imported from Portugal, and certified “Oeko-Tex Standard 100”, meeting EU standards. The hats range will  be enriched by chapkas, manufactured in the brand’s own workshop in Kathmandu, dedicated to the production of small series. Quite complex to manufacture, these chapkas will be handmade by Govinda, the workshop’s foreman, at the rate of 4 a day…that is real slow fashion!

.For F/W 14-15, Happyeti is also announcing a partnership with New York based brand Milk on the Rocks, that will bring a unique Rock’n Roll take on the Happyeti collection.
