Easton loves to draw, has a wild imagination, and is very curious about life. He is (and has been since he was very young) obsessed with sea creatures and life under water (have we found the next Patrick Duffy?). Courtney Adamo, mother of three and writer/editor of babyccinokids.com tells us what she likes, buys, reads… One thing sure : Courtney takes great pictures of her kids.

What do you want to be when you grow up A scuba diver, a fisherman who lets the fish go, and an artist.
Your favourite famous personIggy Peck, Architect (from the book written by Andrea Beaty).
What makes you laughMy friends at school make me laugh. Especially my friend, Paul.
What makes you sad When I have bad dreams.
Your favourite book Go, Dog. Go!’ (P.D. Eastman) and ‘Beware of the Frog’ (William Bee).
Your favourite films ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ and ‘Ponyo on the cliff’ (Hayao Miyazaki).
Your favourite animal An Orca Whale.
The best holidays you ever had Living in a campervan in Australia (February 2010) and snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef.
A place that you would dream to visit I want to go back to Australia, back to the Great Barrier Reef.
Your favourite color Yellow.
Your favourite outfit The skeleton costume my Dada made for me last Halloween.
What is the piece you like the most from your wardrobe The yellow long-sleeve shirt Esther (mother’s friend) gave to me and the red scarf my mama knit for me.
Courtney
Your favourite children’s brands This is really tricky for me – there are so many that I love! But here are five that I find particularly good for boys:
Your favourite children’s storesElias and Grace(London),Kids on the Docks (Antwerp), and Bonton (Paris)
What type of e-consumer are you? I find it really difficult to buy clothes and shoes online – I like to see them in person, feel the fabrics, see how the sizes run, etc. But I do buy books and gifts online.
A website that inspires you I know this has nothing to do with children, but I really love Design*Sponge – their ‘sneak peeks’ are my favourite.
The criteria you consider when you buy something for your children I make sure the quality is good enough that it will survive three children wearing or playing with it.
Last item you added to your child’s wardrobe A new pair of Aigle wellies – a necessity in London all year round.
Most precious item you bought for your child I can’t think of anything precious I’ve ever bought him – am I a bad mum? (He’s only 5, after all. And he’s a boy – he trashes his clothes!)
Best gift you gave for a child’s B-day I always give books – you can never go wrong.
Favorite pieces in Easton’s wardrobe I like his blue leather Spring Court sneakers, his Bonton tunics, and blue jeans from ESP No. 1.
The book on your bedside table I haven’t been reading books – I’ve been reading design magazines instead (we are renovating our house and I’m always looking for ideas). The last book I read was ‘The Help’ and it was so good I wish I could read it over again for the first time.
Where do you like to go for the summer holidays Every year we spend a week in Positano (Amalfi Coast, Italy) and it is my idea of heaven. We also spend a month every summer in Seattle with my family – my kids spend the majority of the time running around naked, which is wonderful!
