Nora loves swimming and snorkeling in the sea. Lucky girl : she can practice her favourite activity all year long in beautiful Bali island. When she’s not in school or in the water, Nora helps her father Waly Hürlimann on his website www.cryoow.com, a new place allowing you to create puppets from children’s drawings or from a beloved character.

A place you saw when you were a child, and that made its mark on you? I spend my happy childhood in a village called Wermatswil, in the mountain area of Zürich, Switzerland. I played a lot in the forest and one place – called Römerbrünneli (Roman spring)- was a spring that obviously already existed since the Romans were there. The water from this spring comes out directly from the earth and was so clean, cold and refreshing you could drink it right away. That is one of the few things I miss now when I am living in Bali/Indonesia!
The place you love near your home The Beach Café in Sanur (: It is situated directly on the beach, serves good food and has a very nice atmosphere in the night.
Where do you dream to go for your next family holiday Actually you are always a little bit in holidays when you are living in Bali! But we like to go to Zürich/Switzerland very much from time to time to visit our family: when we know we can go back to Bali after 2 weeks that’s perfect.
The film that you love to see with the whole family We do not have cinemas in Bali! Our children like to see the Smurfs or Bob the builder on DVD.
The children’s brands your cherish We do not buy many branded items because I think it is better when the children create their own ideas. As a tailor we can produce them ourselves and that’s the big fun!
The children’s stores you love to visit and buy from In Bali we do not have good children shops: it is all made from plastic and made in China here. That’s why we make most of our toys ourselves. If we are in Zürich Franz Carl Weber is the big child’s paradise for our children
Last thing you bought for your child A toy fire truck
The online destinations that inspire you designmom.com , Pinterest and of course pirouetteblog.com
The product that changed your life It’s a Swiss Army knife from Wenger with as many knifes and other parts as possible : it gives you the feeling that from now on you have a solution for EVERYTHING in your pocket!
What are your main current concerns I think that the so called “globalization” will be a big problem in the near future as it pretends to be a free, fair, worldwide market for everyone what it is not. When the people in the poor countries realize that the rich countries still want to have everything for themselves and are not interested that poor countries receive their fair part too: this will be the biggest revolution ever!
Do you have a big dream and if so what is it My life in Bali was my dream and I live it today!
Something that you did in your childhood that you makes you laugh today I always was wondering why my teachers ask ME when they did not know something (What is the capital of Malaysia?). WHY they did not find the answer themselves?
Something that made you laugh out loudly recently When I saw the first time TOM that Nora created.
If you could reincarnate in another person, who would that be Reincarnation is no concept that I believe in: it takes away from you the final power to do something RIGHT in this life if you have a second chance. I am happy as I am!
