It’s an age old question repeated by elders to you as a child ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ In fact it was a question that always brought irritation to my fledgling self when asked to me by my grandfather. However on reflection it’s an important question and good to be asked over and over again – my younger self would never had said I want to specialise in ‘children’s fashion’!
In Bobo Choses AW20 they celebrate ‘the catalogue of marvellous trades’ and they are right to do so, without trades where would we be… how would we build, how would we see clearly in the dark, how would be able to get around, or simply exist? Bobo’s trades fuse reality with imagination in an enjoyable narrative as always.
‘THE CATALOGUE OF MARVELLOUS TRADES’ AW20
What do you want to be when you grow up? If an astronaut or fireman is not of your liking, this Catalogue of Marvellous Trades can help to inspire you. All trades are important. The janitor is as necessary as the doctor, as long as everyone brings something positive to our society.
The Catalogue of Marvellous Trades is the new Autumn-Winter 2020 collection by Bobo Choses – a celebration of creativity, possibility, and freedom.
BIRD TUNER
There is nothing more disappointing than a lovely picnic in the countryside on a sunny summer’s day and birds singing out of tune. Your job is to tune the birds accurately so that a Cockatoo Parrot doesn’t sound like a rusty old trumpet.
PILLOW TESTER
You must sleep with a different pillow every night. Try sleeping in bed, sitting on a chair, standing inside the wardrobe. In the morning you should evaluate both the quality of the pillow and the quality of your dream.
