Early October and it’s starting to get a little fresh in the mornings. With the leaves turning to amber and the nights getting darker it’s time it seems to get comfortable in a lovely pair of PJ’s.
Founder of Babychi – Itziar is passionate about her label and collections. Split into to 2 collections for two temperatures ‘Warm Weather’ and ‘Freshy Weather’ – it’s the latter collection we are currently interested in entitled “Great Expectations” 21-22. This wonderful and entirely organic cotton sleep range for kid’s is incredibly dreamy – simple style with a romantic touch. The collections are made up of nightdresses, pyjamas and robes, and we love them.
To provide background Itzíar Górriz worked in women’s fashion for over ten years. Both herself and her partner Alfonso Ferrer lives changed after having their two daughters (of course). The world of children’s fashion was opened up to them. Disappointed with sleepwear offered in the market they both saw the opportunity to create their own stylish collections whilst taking into consideration the environment, the individuals who produce the garments and the work place.
Their Philosophy
A brand of sleepwear for children that is mainly characterized by being 100% sustainable. All the cotton is 100% organic, and GOTS certified. This is very important to the couple since children spend many hours each day dressed in their pyjamas. The buttons are entirely made from the wood of fallen trees. Produced in workshops in Spain and guaranteeing decent working conditions for their workers.
This is a label that is young but boasts quality and consideration for their product. Make sure to check them out at www.babychi.es & follow @babchi_kids
