Zuzii, zuzii, zuzii… Music to my ear…. I wished for a long time that they expanded their size range and…. they did! Now infant and adults can wear their super cool handmade shoes. I can stop obsessing about my toddler’s footwear collection : it has become a family affair!
Launched in 2009, the company is a collaboration between 2 sisters Ryan and Alex Campbell, and their mother Nickie Campbell. Ryan and Alex have respectively degrees in Industrial Design and Graphic Design while their mother is simply the inventor of the Ansa baby bottle, which is in the MoMa’s permanent collection. Needless to say love for design is in their genes and this amazing trio is not done surprising us.
Zuzii is a vertically integrated American Manufacturer. All Zuzii products are handmade to order in a tiny manufactory in LA. They use high quality natural vegetable-tanned leather, traditional cobbling and sewing techniques and combine them with a modern and clean aesthetics: simple yet quirky prints like polka dots, stripes and stand out colors… The result is a playful hipster staple shoe which will make any foot happy. But they don’t only “prettify” feet as they also carry hair accessories and bags. Buying a Zuzzi product is like buying a piece of LA cool!
