Labels & collections to keep your eye on!

This season’s Pirouette One to Watch Awards celebrate the best in children’s fashion SS20. Labels and collections from Pitti Bimbo, Playtime New York and CIFF Youth showcasing original independent labels and the latest stunning kid’s collections.

It’s not uncommon to hear the odd grumble amongst those inside the kid’s fashion industry that we are seeing the same thing again and again. There are of course some wonderful collections and labels out there. Be they established brands or just starting out these labels strive to create original designs with careful, beautiful, and socially conscious production values that result in thoughtful collections for ‘our’ kids. It is the Awards purpose to highlight these brands and commend their efforts.

More and more labels are consolidating – looking at ways to improve their sustainability and social commitment. It’s our job now to support their hard work with a shift in buying habits, even a small shift towards buying a dress or object that is designed to be cherished rather than disposing of can make a difference.
