Capucine and Lea are two little passionate little New Yorkers – Capucine is very fond of sculpture; she loves making them from found objects, little branches, leaves, rocks…she gets very intense in the process as you can tell from the attached shot (she proudly shows one of her creations on the picture). Lea loves to draw and read and play with her friends. When she has something in her head, it tends to stick around for a while “see her jeans obsession in her answers”,tells Gregoire Ganter the father. Gregoire is a photographer (gregoireganter.com); his “Lea’s alphabet” pictures, composed with letters captured in the city, are a must in Manhattan. So fun for the kids, and so iconic of New York City.

Your favorite children’s stores Pomme! Yoyamart, Babesta Cribz

Your online behaviour I don’t love to shop online and really prefer to see and touch items before I buy them. The actual store environment is important to me when making a purchase

A website that inspires you lmnop.com.au – a great online kids magazine based in Austalia, but current to wordly trends.  However like many, I am mostly inspired by experiences and travel (more so than web sites)

The criteria you consider when you buy something for your children Something they will actually wear – we have so many clothes that just sit in the closet, never warn – we should open a second hand store.  Comfort and style are also up on the list.  There is nothing like a nice pair of Jeans and a sweater, warn over and over again

Last item you added to your girls’ wardrobe Warm ugg boots for the chilly New York fall

Most precious item you bought for Capucine and Lea I love the simple, clean, round necklace engraved with their names I bought at a show I participated in a few years ago.  They were made by a local artist, which is important to me as well

Best gift you gave for a child’s B-day One of my pictures of course!

Items that are hard to find At the risk of sounding snobbish, we live in New York, I think I can find pretty much anything here

Favorite pieces in Capucine and Lea’s wardrobe Their Steven Alan summer dresses and shirts – co clean, simple and free

The book on your bedside table Many, many childrens’ books – bicycle Diaries by David Byrne, a great read for those who like to explore on their bikes

Where do you like to go for the summer holidays I love the beach in the summer  Recently it has been on the east end of Long Island in a small town called the Springs. There is nothing like a day at the beach to keep the kids entertained.
