It arrived from China, in a carton box, two months after I packed it at a Shanghai post office. I found this little tricycle at the Dongtai Lu flee market and sent it in a container, slow way, cheap price. It’s rare to find real vintage at Dongtai nowadays. It is more a jungle of fake antics and a true tourist’s trap, but there are still a few stalls selling original items from the past. Thanks to my nephew Lucas (“china wine)” who was able to negotiate in Chinese, I paid only a tenth of what the seller was asking. Always good to be with a chinese speaking friend when it comes to getting good prices at the market. I loved that tricycle so much, I could have emptied my wallet for it.
