Bread & Butter Berlin strikes back with YOUNGSTARS, a new kids trade show

Bread&Butter‘s kids trade show KIDS CAMP had a successful start and disappeared. The reason is simple : the show was cancelled due to a weak response from exhibitors, the organizers being unable to avoid the overlap with existing kidswear trade fair dates. Coming back under a new name, Berlin strikes back with “YOUNGSTARS“, announced for 15-17 July 2011 as well as for 27 – 29 January 2012. Karl-Heinz Müller explains: “We have consciously decided to already announce the dates for both BREAD & BUTTER and B&B YOUNGSTARS. We want to give our international exhibitors and visitors as much time as possible to plan – also in light of the fact that, as per today, no other event has communicated binding winter dates for 2012 yet”. B&B YOUNGSTARS will take place a week after the adult’s Bread & Butter, using the existing infrastructure, but offering a price per square meter adapted to  the kids sector. B&B YOUNGSTARS will be positioned as an international, supra-regional leading trade fair and will gather a selection of brands targeting strong, individual, urban kids, who clearly have the DNA of the Bread & Butter. The entire children’s fashion market will be covered, whereby the focus is on kids and teens between 2 and 12 years old. The organizers have secured the Berlin Tempelhof airport site (“a wonderful, landmarked location” says Karl-Heinz Müller) for the next eight years, with the option for a further ten years. Berlin is on the map for Pirouette, July 15-17.
