Who made the super cute headpieces from our runway show at Pitti Bimbo 101 : A Zoo in my Wall

Marcia Barbosa studied graphic design at college & really loves to create with her hands. She owns a bookshop for children and books have been Marcia’s life for years.

During the slow months of summer she began creating her animals to decorate the shop with them becoming an instant success as people noticed them on the shop walls!

People saw her working on them and started asking for animals. All types of animals even portraits of their pets

All of her animal heads are made from papier mache then painted with very good quality acrylic paints.

Marcia doesn’t use a pattern, meaning every animal is truly unique. All her creatures come with a hook on the back ready to hang. It’s also possible to make them as masks, or as in our case headpieces for the Mama’s Shopping List runway show at Pitti Bimbo 101 for the SS26 season.

If there’s an animal you love Marcia can make it on request…

FYI – The strangest animal she’s made to date … A narwhal!
