It was a flying visit to the KID show SS18 for Pirouette on Monday morning. There were a few collections that caught our attention in this showroom/ trade show situated in Les Marais in the heart of Paris.
The City Goats collection uses natural plant dyes and simple shapes. Designer and label founder Ching Ching created City Goats through a love of understated beautiful clothing that doesn’t harm people, soil or the ocean. Conscientious and gorgeous collection !
Earthy toned hand made leather footwear produced in Portugal. Really beautifully presented collection. Look out for the illustrations in the SS18 lookbook, really sweet !
BigStuffed are pretty much as it says on the label. I very much enjoyed taking the picture of this display from a child’s perspective. They sure look Big and Stuffed – Octopus was a favourite, this smart sea animal can change shape and colour. Cool !
Melula shoes are really cool, fantastic use of bold colouring. I absolutely loved their new line of NO-TIE LACES. The laces are really well designed with a catch to lock the starchy laces in and hold them secure. The packaging is fantastic a bit like little chocolate box but without the calories! The point of display box for retailers is equally eye catching to grab buyers attention. Really great little well designed product.
Les Jujubes ss18 collection is also the feature image, this is an Italian brand with the collection produced in Italy for girls aged from 3 to 12 years. Very pretty, fresh collection and lovely materials.
Hopefully we will have more time next edition, lovely venue !
