Movie themed Pitti Immagine Bimbo #86 is kicks off in two days, Pirouette will be there for the launch of the new season with our first Pirouette One to Watch Awards at Pitti Bimbo. Plus photographer Molly Magnuson will be making her way over from the States to Italy to combine forces with Pirouette to produce a backstage web documentary with video interviews, catwalk coverage, Molly’s photography and much more…
So lets take a look at some of the events taking place at the show.
Events at Pitti
Pirouette editor Katie Kendrick & NY based photographer Molly Magnuson are getting together to create a “behind the scenes” documentary of PITTI BIMBO #86 – with a dedicated site hosted on Pirouette blog. You will be able to see what’s going on behind the scenes at Pitti with interviews, access backstage at the events and fashion shows plus the photography of Molly and much more.

Pirouette will covering a number of catwalk shows taking place during Pitti.The brands present include: Amelie et Sophie, Atelier Choux Paris, Belle Enfant, Caramel, Emile et Ida, Grevi, Hucklebones, Jessie and James London, Lamantine Paris & Milan, La Stupenderia, Leoca Paris, Little Creative Factory, Minna Parikka Mini, Miss L.Ray, Moon Paris, Nikolia, Olive, Owa Yurika, Pe’Pe, Pèro, Piccola Ludo, Pom d’Api, Raspberry Plum Ltd, The Small Gatsby, Velveteen.
Among the new brands and reentries: Bandits London, Collegien, DUO Boys and Mini Me Girls, Gosoaky, Ienki Ienki, Maan, Mum of Six, Mum of Six, Oeuf, Oscar et Valentine Cachemire, Rock’n Lullaby, Tocoto Vintage, Ubang.

“The Golden Age” – Monnalisa celebrates 50 years in the business by illuminating the Fortezza da Basso & we can’t wait!
Monnalisa will celebrates its fiftieth anniversary with a unique event, “The Golden Age”. For the first time the Fortezza da Basso will be illuminated by night. On Thursday 18th January from 19.30 onwards the top floor of the Central Pavilion will host catwalk shows, music and long cocktails with moondust.
On Thursday the 17th of January both Florence and myself will be on the look out at the show for the best emerging labels in kid’s fashion and design selecting two Pirouette One to Watch award winners at the show. Make sure to follow us and tune in later in the day to discover our very first Pirouette One to Watch Winners at PITTI BIMBO !
We will be checking in with Velveteen, Little Creative Factory, Tiny Cottons, Finger in the Nose, Peggy Juche, founder of Paul et Paula (look out for her show dairy, (click to find out more) and Petra Barkhof and the Kid’s wear magazine team, plus much more… There’s so much going on over the three days so make sure to follow :-)
