Pitti Bimbo will take place in Firenze in about a month (19-21 January 2017). The show is bubbling with three new spaces dedicated to young brands. KidzFIZZ (Pitti Bimbo’s concept laboratory) will have its second edition, while The Nest (niche brands with a high creative content) and Fancy Room (accessories, special design and technology products, for fun, curious lifestyles) will launch for the first time.
KidzFIZZ“A project dedicated to a public in line with the new kids’ fashion global scenarios, KidzFIZZ brings together the most creative collections by brands that aim at research, creative exploration, contamination between fashion and design, with a significant presence of accessories. Staged inside the Medici Pavilion and at the Archivi, confirming its new, bigger size with a layout by the Milan based design studio Storage Associati, KidzFIZZ is increasingly becoming Pitti Bimbo’s concept laboratory. At this edition, it will also feature a special dedicated catwalk show in the Rondino pavilon, Friday 20 January 2017″. Brands showing at KidzFIZZ will include ABC 123me, Anne Kurris, Caffe D’Orzo, Blune, Arsene et les Pipelettes, Louis Louise, Morley, Motoreta, Paade Mode, Popupshop, Treehouse By Anja Schwerbrock, Wolf & Rita, Yporque…THE NEST
Putting the spotlight on small independent brands from around the world, THE NEST presents an exclusive selection of small independent brands, selected in collaboration with the Berlin-based store and concept lab Little Pop Up.
“We wanted to favor the heart: we wanted every label, every artisan, or every designer involved to stand out for the passion and love they put into their jobs. Thus, The Nest was conceived: brands with unique stories, of great humanity, in an extremely energetic atmosphere, with products that stand out for the utmost quality of the materials used and for the innovative design. Authentic productions, which are beginning to gain international recognition for their great creativity” says Dimitra Zavakou, owner of Little Pop Up.
You will find The Nest on the Lower Level of the Main Pavilion.
Brands showing at THE NEST include Atelier Choux Paris(France), Cherry Papaya Kids (Portugal), Free Sisters (Germany), Fruitytu (Israel), Garbo&Friends (Sweden), Girls Talk to Boys (UK), Grace Baby & Child(Portugal), Kalinka Kids (Bulgaria), Poupee (Greece), Where is Marlo (Switzerland).
FANCY ROOM
Also located on the Lower Level of the Main Pavilion, the new Fancy Room section puts the spotlight on special products: accessories, furnishing elements, games, pocket technology, useful and useless, curious and irresistible objects, which have been lined up in order to make their debut in concept stores all over the world. From designer items to small accessories, from gadgets to technology, in FANCY ROOM extreme creativity is the protagonist.
Brands showing at Fancy Room include Caco Design (Italy), Cute Cute (UK), Design Letters & Friends (Denmark), Enfance Paris (France), Lapin & me (UK), LuckyBoySunday (Denmark), Lullaby Road(Holland), Nailmatic Kids (France), Noé & Zoé Berlin (Germany), Popqorn (Sweden), Vandoma (Portugal).
A total of 503 collections are expected for the 84th edition of Pitti Bimbo, 280 of which from abroad (53%). It’s good to see that this mega show, wonderfully organised in a stunning city is again giving its full attention to young emerging labels. The show has always been the reference platform for big international children’s fashion brands and the preview launch of collections for kids. With Kidzfizz, Fancy Room and The Nest, Pitti will add a role of incubator of emerging trends, invested in research and across-the-board proposals. Like it was in the past. This edition will also launch new exhibition projects that portray the multi-faceted lifestyles and dialogue with the creative frontiers of the most sophisticated concept stores.
