It’s wonderful to see French concept-store Smallable and Japanese department store Isetan join forces to promote the best of Japanese and European children’s fashion. Starting March the 14th and running until April the 4th, 2018 Isetan will welcome a Smallable pop-up shop in its department store, while Smallable will host Isetan and Japanese fashion know-how in both its Parisian boutique and on-line store. I love a foreign exchange trip, so is this sort of collaboration the future for retail? What will we find at each store?
In both Tokyo & Paris customers will be able to shop a selection of exclusive creations by labels such as Bobo Choses (read socially conscious labels Pirouette article), The Animals Observatory (read Pirouette interview), Emile et Ida, Louis Louise, Little Creative Factory, Hello Simone, Hundred Pieces and Maison Labiche. With the exclusive items also available online at Smallable.com.
As for the Japanese element in Paris, Smallable’s customers will get the chance to discover Isetan’s atmosphere without clocking up airmiles. Isetan in-store hit designer brands such as East End Highlanders, Arch & Line, Minä Perhonen, Keora Keora, as well as figurines from brand T-Lab, toys from Kiko+ and Kitpas, and even some delicacies that come straight from Tokyo. A selection from Mark’Style Tokyo, including tableware from brand Kinto, and S. Heart. S. hair-brushes make for an eclectic mix.
