The Pirouette One to Watch Awards are back for the summer and this time we find ourselves at Pitti Bimbo, Playtime NY and our new partner CIFF YOUTH. As usual, we’re on the lookout for emerging talent in the industry, but this season we’re also about celebrating and highlighting creativity and established talent at the shows through the new One to Watch collection award.

Pirouette One to Watch Awards: ‘CHARMY’

Invited Award Designer Lapin & Me/ Margaux

In keeping with our theme this season of cherishing the beloved we invited the much loved and cherished Lapin & Me to design the award by giving their iconic Woodland doll a gilded makeover…
Cute, and ever so slightly retro, the award is named ‘CHARMY’ after the original title of the doll ‘CHARMY CHAN’ when first produced in 1971.

Madeleine James the designer behind Lapin & Me (now Margaux) finds and sources vintage collectable toys from Japan, and brings them back to life again (often using the original moulds and factories) for us all to enjoy. And by all – I mean kids and grown-ups alike.
Each award comes with its own embroidered show tote carrying a personal message of celebration for the winner!
