Today we welcome Isobel, 5 years old and her mother Lindsey,  journalist and founder of Urban Mums. Lindsey reports : “Izzy loves listening to music and dancing, especially “streetdancing” which she can’t believe she learned on her own. She is not a fan of wearing jeans, preferring dresses and leggings instead.  Izzy enjoys drawing pictures of rapunzel, mermaids and unicorns. And she also loves chocolate brownies, and chocolate gelato from Gelato Mio”.

Your favourite children’s brands Mini A Ture, Petit Bateau, Stella McCartney Kids, Waddler, Aravore.  I am always discovering exciting new brands that I feel this list could go on and on

Your favourite children’s stores Caramel Baby&Child – They have gorgeous line of clothes and their stores are beautifully put together.  A pricey boutique, so I only look at their sales. but inspiring all the same. I also like The Little White Company and Petit Bateau

What do you buy online? I buy groceries, books, some toys, and small kitchen/home appliances online. For clothing and footwear, it’s almost always in person. I like to make sure it fits and feel the quality. My favourite e-stores are Amazon, Ocado and can I say Babyccino Kids Boutique? It’s not a store per se, but a great portal to online shopping

A website that inspires you I find lots of inspiration on pinterest.  I also like Comptoir des Cotonnier blog, partly because they always play good music! The Sartorialist can become quite addicting too

Last item you added to Isobel’s wardrobe I just bought some Bisgaard boots for my daughter. They are for late autumn and winter. Really good quality, great fit and perfect for dresses and leggings in the colder months

Most precious item you bought for your child A wooden carousel that sits on her bookshelf. it is a travel memento from italy

Best gift you gave for a child’s B-day Probably my daughter’s micro-scooter. It’s used daily, has been handed down to her brother and the kids never get tired of it. For friends, we give books or something art/craft related (Melissa & Doug craft/art projects)

Items that are hard to find The older my children get, the harder it is to find trousers and shoes that fit well

Favourite pieces in Isobel’s wardrobe Petit Bateau dresses, a Bellieboo bow shirt, her new Bisgaard boots, Original Sister Natalya dress

The book on your bedside table Little Princes – very good nonfiction book that I read in two days!

The music in your ipod Adele, Florence and the Machine, Greenhorse, a couple new Will Young songs

A film that you saw recently and that stayed with you? I watched Limitless, which wasn’t a particularly great movie, but the idea of having limitless knowledge and recalling everything you ever learned, saw, did, was a fascinating idea (especially when I couldn’t find where I placed some documents I needed!)

The film that you love to see with the whole family? Parent Trap, the old and the modern version

An unforgettable place you’ve travelled to Bali – paradise. We also visited the southern tip of Denmark and frequently talk about how peaceful and restful it was. Beautiful too!

The ideal place for a family summer holiday A cabin or home away from the city. we like to be away from people when we travel as a family and just rest and enjoy the simple life, without phones, computers, etc. Denmark was perfect for this
