One of my favourite contemporary photographers, Paolo Ventura creates maquettes and incredibly detailed figurines that he then shoots in his studio. You can spend hours looking at his work and imagining him doing all this by hand; fascinating and impressive. Paolo Ventura is currently exposed in a collective show at Atlas Gallery in London (Marylebone).

I particularly like the “Winter Stories”,  about a circus.  You can also see Paolo’s work in New York (Hasted Kraeutler Gallery), Seoul (Gallery Baton), Sao Paolo (Galeria De Babel) and Milan where the photographer is from (Forma International Center Of Photography).
