Planning a trip to Paris this Summer en famille ? if it’s a yes then the URBANITO Paris Family City Guide would be a very useful travelling companion. This well conceived guide is aimed at making France’s capital city a fun, cultured and stress free experience with the kids. It does this by providing the parents with travelling advice, places to visit, eat and look at, all from city insiders suggestions. A favourite touch is that on every map nearby WC’s are marked so to be located quickly, sparing children and parents undue stress related red faces. The guide is brilliantly designed, and contains lots of interesting info, so let’s have a look and find out where we can pick one up.
The URBANITO map and city guides are for families who love, live in or are just visiting a city by offering inspiration for visitors to experience the city not only as a tourist but also as a knowledgeable insider. Before the designers Elaine and Simon MacKenzie had children they both travelled extensively, immersing themselves in everything each city had to offer, the art, culture, food and lifestyle that made each place unique and special. On becoming parents times changed and they felt they needed a family concierge at their fingertips to show them how to explore enjoy and discover new cities as they had used to, but that also considered and inspired their children. Having not found one, they created it.
Transportable, efficient and well designed their illustrated maps and curated city guide navigates to their best finds – from tourist hotspots to lesser known gems frequented by locals. This is a city guide for the family in one pack, to be used, customised and shared. Each guide contains 300+ places to try.
The box is perfectly sized for travelling and contains 7 individual maps/guide booklets providing 305 suggestions to see, eat, play and relax all handpicked by city insiders to spark your imagination. There are 11 bespoke neighbourhood Maps so plenty to explore at your own pace. What’s really fun and interactive is that the kids can colour in, add notes and drawings as you go. Essentially the guide becomes your families unique Paris experience, a little document to treasure and to remember. Pretty cool.
The URBANITO FAMILY PARIS GUIDE, designed in the UK and produced in Paris – £15. More cities to follow.
